This is good glossy 100lb text paper. Not glossy as in glossy photo paper, more semi-gloss. The video provided by the manufacturer in the product listing actually gives a pretty good impression of the paper. I’ve not tried this in an inkjet printer… other reviews indicate it does not perform well there, but I can’t confirm that.NOTE: Paper weight is very confusing. 100lb text paper and 100lb card stock are two very different things. 100lb card stock is about twice as thick as 100lb text paper. Dumb? Yes. But not this company’s fault. That said, at current prices (prices change) this isn’t a great deal. But it’s good glossy paper, so just make sure you do your value shopping, and compare page counts. This bundle is for only 100 sheets.

I was skeptical about using this paper in inkjet printers but to my surprise, it works pretty well with my Pixma inkjet printer. This paper is a thick paper like magazine and commercial leaflet paper. It is coated on both sides. It is great for making leaflets or anything you want a sleek look. I saw a lot of people on the internet talking about not getting good result with this type of paper in inkjet printer but I want to give it a try anyway to get some first person experience. The result is actually really good. There are some tricks to make it work. First you have to have a good quality printer in the first place. Some old model inkjet printer does not control the output of ink well. I have an old printer that always put out too much ink that it bleeds through print paper all the time. My Pixma printer has a very good control of ink output. I can easily print double sided on regular print paper without this problem. If your printer can print on double side of paper and you are still satisfied with the result, then your printer is ready for this special paper. The next trick is to select the correct type of paper in your printer settings. You have to to try different paper types to find out the best one. I choose “Greeting Card” as the paper type as I figure the surface of the greeting cards are similar to this paper. Your printer may have different paper types. The result is very impressive. You do have to give it at least a few minutes or even more time to let it completely dry before you touch it. As long as you don’t touch it before it dries, the final result is decent. If your printer has both black pigment ink and black dye ink, try change your setting to let it use only the dye ink. Pigment ink with NOT work on this paper. It will becomes a layer of powder floating on the paper once the ink dries. If your printer is completely pigment ink for all colors, then it will not work on this paper at all. The color result is not as colorful as the photo paper because the photo paper gives the best result. But photo paper may not be the paper type you want for your application. You can’t make a sleek handout with photo paper. When you make double sided print, do print one side at a time and let it complete dry before printing on the other side. Overall, this paper works great if you use it properly. Once again, it does work well on inkjet printers but with some tricks to follow.
