It is a great journal. It is easy to find in the bag and the warm colors make me want to write! The only suggestion is that the spiral is too small to fit a pen in it. Would’ve like that to be a bit wider to put a pen or attached some sort of pen holder to the notebook!

Nice notebook! The cover is hard, and the design is so pretty! The paper is good quality, with no bleed-thru with my gel pens. I love the wire binding, so it lays flat, and I appreciate that. All in all a great value journal for the price point.

Update: In searching for other journals, I have discovered that there are some here on Amazon that include the content page, page number and date features. These journals have more pages and are bigger. I haven’t seen any with such nice covers but that’s a small point. I’ve deducted a star to agree with other reviewers that for what it is, this journal is not a good value for the price. It fits my needs nicely and I’m happy to have it, but would not get it again if not for the cover image being particularly relevant to my use.When considering this spiral journal notebook, it’s important to know what you personally want and need in a journal. If you’re just looking for something with an attractive hard-board cover that is likely to hold up to a beating, this fits the bill because the covers are sturdy. If you’d like something you can write in easily and lay flat and fold for on the go, this is a good choice. But if you are mainly looking for a place to write (sometimes a lot), there are probably better options for you with more paper at a better price. I came looking for a journal that would help me organize and find my thoughts, and for that, this is perfect. This is a dream journal, so indexing themes is especially helpful because sometimes patterns aren’t seen until way later (if at all). It’s a pain to flip through pages scan-reading and searching for *that one thing* that meant absolutely nothing at the time, but might be somehow important now. And unlike most journals, this one has a place for page numbers and dates, and content organizing pages at the front (that let me put in themes along with page numbers to make info easy to find) makes it worth the $10 cost, even for a smaller journal with fewer pages. Your mileage may vary, so knowing what’s important to you will be a huge help in determining whether this is the right journal. That said, I do wish this were bigger or had an option for adding pages (I would pay more for that feature), but for what it is, it is very nice. I wish more companies offered journals like this and hope to see more from this company.

This journal-sized (A5) notebook is great! First, it’s hardcover, which is so handy for writing when you’re out and about. The paper is college ruled and of good quality. Second, the spiral binding is strong, and it’s easy to open/fold over the notebook. Third, the cover is really lovely, the colors rich. Fourth, there’s an elastic band to hold the journal open to the page you want, which is always handy.If you or someone you know loves pretty notebooks, this is a great one to add to the collection.
