Bought these for my teen daughter’s ranger camp. I tested them with 0.7 lead mechanical pencil, various pens and yellow highlighter. The lead pencil worked best when the note page was dry or wet. For pens, I found that the standard Bic pen with the the blue cap worked well too. For the dry test, I wrote on the page while it was dry and then put the page under running water. For the wet test, I put the page under running water and wrote on it while there was water on the page. My daughter’s book got soaked during camp but her notes remained and she was able to continue using the book. She used a 0.7 Bic plastic mechanical pencil. These are now her go-to books even outside of camp.

unlike regular notepads the moisture resistance of these allows them to not turn soggy if you place them in a vest pocket all day while working outside in the heat. also the pages are thick compared to others i have tried. this IS an advantage. less sheets however they dont become soft and tear as other have

This is the first brand I’ve tried since the price is right. I couldn’t be happier. As a long haul driver, I often need my load notes while outside in all kinds of weather. This usually makes my notebook a smeared and wrinkled mess. These little notebooks passed all my tests. Great quality and truly rain proof. Pages flip smoothly over the spiral. The manufacturer warns they won’t work well with gel ink, but that hasn’t been my experience. The paper performes great using my favorite Zebra G-301 gel ink pens. No problem. Nothing not to like here. So glad I found these.
